The Story of The Kits.

The Nashville Police + Public Safety Alliance, in partnership with the Sexual Assault Center of Middle Tennessee, is leading an initiative to eliminate Nashville’s untested Sexual Assault Kits (SAKs). Untested kits deny justice to survivors and leave offenders unidentified - posing a threat to public safety.

Each kit costs $1,360 for comprehensive forensic analysis. Every dollar raised directly supports the testing of these kits, with donors receiving regular updates on campaign progress. Immediate support is needed from the public and private sectors to bridge this gap, clear the backlog, and ensure all future kits are processed promptly.

All funds will be collected through The Nashville Police + Public Safety Alliance and directed to MNPD to be used exclusively to test untested kits. Campaign donors will receive regular updates on funding and the number of kits tested.
