That’s according to the alliance’s public safety sentiment assessment, a survey of more than 1,000 Nashvillians’ feelings about crime and their quality of life. The Alliance released the findings of the 2025 version on Oct. 27.

“‘I learned that he played soccer just like me, and that's something that I knew, that we shared in common,’ said seventh grader Kayden Goodman. The camp is run through Y-CAP, a program of the YMCA, and provides a safe space for students during school breaks. “It's so important for students to have a safe place to go," said Y-CAP Associate Executive Director Jordan Waller.
Public Safety Alliance Launches Nashville Crime Stats Dashboard

“Our intention here is for this dashboard to be a tool that the community uses and embraces, and can come back to time and time again as a reliable source for the data, as a user-friendly way to read and understand and interpret the data,” Halim Genus, the Alliance’s Vice President of Programs and Partnerships, told The Tennessean.
